Podcast: St Joseph Novena

Over the years my devotion to St Joseph has grown. As a fellow foster Dad, albeit to sons of God (just not the Son of God), I have the tiniest glimpse into what it might have been like to struggle, to wonder, and to hope you are doing the job justice. A hard job indeed. St Joseph wore it well. I aspire to do the same.

As a busy dad of four teenage boys I often find myself in the car. Whether it is the daily commute to work, dropping off or picking up boys from school, or long car rides to sporting events, I am often in need of a change of pace from music or podcasts. When that is the case I have turned to certain podcasts that help me to pray. I have a go to podcast for praying each set of mysteries of the rosary, but I didn’t have one for my favorite novena to St Joseph, so I thought I’d make one.

Even though the prayers are basically the same each day, I wanted to make nine full episodes and not simply one so that:

One could more easily keep track of progress from day one through day nine.
Accentuate the nine unique character traits of St Joseph that this devotion highlights.
Utilize different background music for each day to break the monotony.
